I was all a-twitter today when watching Knitty Gritty ...it was the episode about teen knitting, one girl knit slippers, the other made a backpack. Anyway, in one of the knit bits, Vickie mentioned storing your knitting in different purses. The selection of purses she had were the new Jordana Paige bags http://www.jordanapaige.com/products.html one of which I just received last week as a gift ..the blue satchel. The one she picked up was purple ..but it was the same style ..I thought that was pretty neat.

Additionally ..new season coming up. Loom knitting is going to be one of the episodes. My friend Isela Phelps is going to be on ..July 9th, I believe. She runs the site http://dalooms.com ..I own several of them and she is co-editor for Loom Knitters Circle Magazine http://www.loomknitterscircle.com

I happen to have a pattern in that issue ..the eye mask.

Anyway ..just thought it was interesting and noteworthy.

Those Jordana Paige bags are lovely. I use circs for everything, so I don't really need a special knitting bag, but if I bought one, that would be it.

I can't wait to see some new Knitty Gritty episodes. I saw some of that season on HGTV, but not the loom knitting one. I don't have a loom, but I have a lovely hat my friend made me on her loom. I'll have to be sure to let her know about that episode.

I made an eye mask from one of the Knitty Gritty show. It is supposed to be filled with flax seed and lavender, but I'm not sure where to get flax seeds.

The loomed pattern that I wrote for the mask was based on that same idea from the Knitty Gritty show ..just without the fancy details.

I have found flaxseed in Wal-Mart, in the vitamins aisle, but it is quite pricey. I used dried rice instead, which is super cheap and gives a similar weight.
